Isaiah 2:3 “And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.”
In context, the “many people” refers to both Israelites and Gentiles. These are faithful Children of God; the “Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father” (I Peter 1:2), the “born again” (John 3:1-8), and “the called according to his purpose” (Romans 8:28) out of “every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people” (Revelation 14:6). It is certain “that no man can come unto” the Lord “except it were given unto him of” the Heavenly “Father” (John 6:65). Thus, those who lovingly and worshipfully “go” to the Church of Jesus Christ and exhort others to “go” are Children of God that He has called into His blessed service. Without this Divine Calling, people have absolutely no interest in the things of God, including His Church. Many are not only not interested, but they actively oppose and fight against the Lord and His Church. But, to faithful Children of God, the Church is most precious, greatly desired, and longed for. Faithful Children of God “go” and participate in Church themselves and they also exhort others to “go” and worship the Lord that they also may receive boundless spiritual blessings.
