Isaiah 50:10 “Who is among you that feareth the LORD, that obeyeth the voice of his servant, that walketh in darkness, and hath no light? let him trust in the name of the LORD, and stay upon his God.”
There remains a people today who hold “the LORD” in the highest reverence, who bow down in worshipful awe of His Almighty Power, and who rejoice to obey and follow Him. When those who fear “the Lord” and obey Him, walk “in darkness”, they have the “light” of His Holy Presence, His Comfort, His Protection, and His Leadership. To feel His Holy Presence is to be at peace and to rejoice even in the most difficult and troubling times. It is true that “at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace” (Romans 11:5). These faithful Children of God are those who worshipfully “feareth the LORD”; they will not compromise their God-given faith and will not submit to the idols of those who bow down before the alters of carnal lusts and greed. May the Lord our Merciful God grant us the strength to enduringly “trust in the name of the LORD, and stay upon” our “God”! For only in our Lord is real and continuing peace and happiness.
