II Corinthians 1:4 “Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; 4 Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.”
This life is filled with tribulations; but, we have a merciful and gracious “God” “Who comforteth us in all our tribulation”! Our “comfort” is made even more blessed as we are given opportunity to turn to others who are likewise in some great “tribulation” and “comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God”! When “tribulation” brings dark and ominous clouds of despair and anxiety upon those around us, we are afforded the opportunity to rush to their side and encourage them by sharing with “them how great things the Lord hath done for” us “and hath had compassion on” us (Mark 5:19). Always reminding them that “God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work” (I Corinthians 9:8). Let us all seek to encourage our family, friends, and our Church family!
