Psalms 4:3 “But know that the LORD hath set apart him that is godly for himself: the LORD will hear when I call unto him.”
I can think of no greater comfort in this present world, than to “know” that “the LORD will hear when I call unto him”. We cannot tell the future, so we do not know what peril lurks there, but “the LORD” does. Often, we do not know what path to take, but “the LORD” does. We come upon obstacles that we cannot cross, but “the LORD” can. We have broken hearts that we cannot mend, but “the LORD” can. We have fears that we cannot still, but “the LORD” can. We have pains that we cannot ease, but “the LORD” can. We have confusions that we cannot overcome, but “the LORD” can. We cannot make ourselves worthy of God, but “the LORD” can. Sometimes we do not even know what to ask for, but “the LORD” does. We rejoice to know that by His grace and mercy “the LORD will hear when I call unto him”!
