John 14:24 “He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father’s which sent me.”
There are some people who simply do not have “the love of God” in them and have no interest at all in obeying the Lord. To some of these, the Lord said, “I know you, that ye have not the love of God in you. 43 I am come in my Father’s name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.” (John 5:42-43). John candidly explains it this way, “every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world” (I John 4:3). And there are those that the Lord has never known in a loving way and never will; therefore, there will come a day in which He will “profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity” (Matthew 7:23). But while we live in this present world, we must understand that they do not love the Lord, have no interest in keeping (obeying) His sayings (Commandments) and they gleefully go about working their filthy “iniquity”. They work their “iniquity” themselves and try to impose it upon everyone else, try to make it legal, try to make it acceptable, and ostracize those who reject their “iniquity”. Just like Paul prophesied, the time has come when people “will not endure sound doctrine” (II Timothy 4:3); that is, they openly reject true Biblical Teachings. They reject both the true Doctrine of Salvation and the true Doctrine of Moral Behavior. Their guide and motivation is “their own lusts” (II Timothy 4:3) for power, exalted positions, elitist’s glory, and the glamor of wealth. Their accepted methods to satisfy their “lusts” are lies, deceit, distortions, slander, cheating, and all manner of abuses. Now is the time for Christian men to “Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.” (I Corinthians 16:13) and for Christian women to be strong and faithful like those that Paul found praying down by the river in “Philippi” (Acts 16:13) and for parents to bring up their children “in the nurture and admonition of the Lord” (Ephesians 6:4). When the Children of God repent and turn to God, evil flees from the power of our Almighty God (I Chronicles 7:14).
