Philippians 3:20 “For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ: 21 Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.”
Similar to those who were looking forward to and anticipating the coming of the Messiah, the sincere Children of God are looking “for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ” to personally come from “heaven” to raise the dead bodies and take all that His Father has given Him (John 6:39) to be forever with Him in Eternal Heaven. When He appears, “then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: 32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats: 33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. 34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:” (Matthew 25:31-34). His “sheep” are the same as “his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other” (Matthew 24:31). When He Commands, “Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world” the bodies of His “elect” [His “sheep”] will obey His Command and raise to Life and be reunited with their soul/spirit. Then, “In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.” (I Corinthians 15:52), “Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we [His “elect”, His “sheep”] ever be with the Lord” (I Thessalonians 4:17)! After the “elect” have departed this present world, John prophetically saw that “whosoever was not found written in the book of life [His “elect”, His “sheep” are permanently recorded “in the book of life”] was cast into the lake of fire” (Revelation 20:15) and “the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up” (II Peter 3:10). As Mr. Jim Hill wrote in his hymn, “What A Day That Will Be”!
