2023-02-21 “he that doeth righteousness is righteous”

I John 3:7  “Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.

John further explains that “he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous”; that is, a person that wants to be “righteous” before God and strives to be “righteous” is showing forth evidence that the Spirit of God is in him; therefore, he has already been made “righteous” (II Corinthians 5:21) before God our Heavenly Father by the Sacrificial Death of our Beloved Lord and Savior.  In Sacrificing Himself, He “made” all His Elect “righteous, even as he is righteous”!  John warns us against false religious professions that are said to make people “righteous” (that is, right with God) and religion for show (all kinds of ceremonial acts to make folks right with God); telling us, “let no man deceive you”; because, even today, religious professors proclaim an endless list of means and methods to save or secure salvation to Heaven.  All these religious professors do all these things “which can never take away sins:  12  But this man [Jesus Christ], after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;  13  From henceforth expecting till his enemies [sin, death, grave, devil, …] be made his footstool.  14  For by one offering [Himself] he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified [His Elect]15  Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us [In Our Heart’s Mind]: for after that he had said before,  16  This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them; [At Spiritual Birth]  17  And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.  18  Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin. [Eternally Forgiven, Made Righteous]”
