Hebrews 13:20 “Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, 21 Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.”
Our Beloved Lord Jesus Christ shed His Sacrificial “blood” to seal “the everlasting covenant”. Our Lord put it this way, “And this is the Father’s will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.” (John 6:39). Nothing but the Precious “blood” of our Lord and Savior could seal “the everlasting covenant”; for, “Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.” (Hebrews 9:12). And, Paul expressed it this way, “Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.” (Romans 5:9), “For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.” (Romans 5:10), and nothing “shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 8:39). Let us worship and rejoice, for “the blood of the everlasting covenant” is our Eternal Security!
