Isaiah 53:8 “He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken.”
Our Most Beloved Lord Jesus Christ “was cut off out of the land of the living”, not for any wrong that He had done, but “for the transgression of my people was he stricken”! After all these years of reading and studying the Word of God, I am still in Absolute Awe of the “great love” (Ephesians 2:4) that God our Heavenly Father has for us, so “great” that He sent His “beloved son” (Matthew 3:17), “only begotten son” (I John 4:9) to be sacrificially “stricken” and “cut off out of the land of the living” for us. And, our Savior’s “love” is so “great” that He willingly submitted Himself to the hateful leaders who cruelly Crucified Him; and then, He gave His own life to pay our sin-debt. Our Lord put it this way, “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.” (John 15:13); but, my strongest desire is to show Him that I love Him by obeying His Commandments (John 14:15)! I must confess that, “Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it.” (Psalms 139:6)!
