Isaiah 53:12 “Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.”
Isaiah received the Prophecy from the LORD that Jesus Christ would be completely Victorious over all His adversaries. Paul makes it clear that our Lord obtained the “Victory” over “sin”, “death”, the “grave”, and all His persecutors (I Corinthians 15:54-56). And, much like the kings of old who shared the spoils of “victory” with their military commanders and soldiers and the people, our blessed Lord has given to us the blessings of His “victory”. In His “victory”, He defeated sin, death, the grave, and the wicked for us. Therefore, “because he hath poured out his soul unto death” and “he was numbered with the transgressors” and “he bare the sin of many” and He “made intercession for the transgressors”; on the last day of this present world, the dead shall be raised to Eternal Life, all the Elect of God will Hear Him Command “Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world” (Matthew 25:34) and “shall be caught up together with them [Those who remain alive and changed] in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord” (I Thessalonians 4:17)! Now we joyfully herald, “thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ” (I Corinthians 15:57)!
