Isaiah 25:6 “And in this mountain shall the LORD of hosts make unto all people a feast of fat things, a feast of wines on the lees, of fat things full of marrow, of wines on the lees well refined. 7 And he will destroy in this mountain the face of the covering cast over all people, and the vail that is spread over all nations. 8 He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for the LORD hath spoken it.”
My last note was written very early in the morning on October 24, 2024; it was titled “He will swallow up death in victory”. That same evening, at 9:20 PM, the Lord reached down and tenderly took my Precious Wife, Sarah to be with Him in His “paradise” (Luke 23:43; II Corinthians 12:4; Revelation 2:7). The next phrase in Isaiah 25:8, is “the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from off all faces”. In the last few days, an ocean of tears have been shed as we experienced overwhelming “Mixtures Of Joy And Sorrow” as we mourn Sarah’s departure, but at the same time we rejoice with her that she is now no longer suffering and she is experiencing indescribable perfect peace and joy and love as her gaze is fixed upon our Blessed Lord God Almighty, as she joins “a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues,” as they stand “before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;” (Revelation 7:9) as they sing “a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;” (Revelation 5:9). Now, “the Lord GOD” has wiped “away” all the “tears from off” her face; as John saw the “great multitude” and wrote, “And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.” (Revelation 21:4). I was made to rejoice as I watched my Darling’s face, “as her soul was in departing” (Genesis 35:18) and anguish was replaced by “perfect peace”! It is no wonder that Paul wrote, “I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better” (Philippians 1:23)! I will miss my Sweet Sarah as long as I live, but I sit here this morning rejoicing that she is not only not suffering any more, but she is now fully and purely rejoicing “with joy unspeakable and full of glory” (I Peter 1:8).
