Deuteronomy 11:12 “A land which the LORD thy God careth for: the eyes of the LORD thy God are always upon it, from the beginning of the year even unto the end of the year.”
As we begin a new year (2025), let us earnestly pray that our “land” will be “A land which the LORD thy God careth for” and that “the eyes of the LORD” our “God” will be “always upon it” and that He will watch over us and bless us and guide us and protect us “from the beginning of the year even unto the end of the year”. Old Testament History is very clear, when Israel was faithfully obedient to the Lord, He blessed them mightily. But, when they turned from Him, He was lovingly patient with them, but eventually He chastened them to correct their behavior (Isaiah 1:19-20; Deuteronomy 8:5). When they repented and turned from their evil ways, as a loving Father, He embraced them and blessed them again and again. Let history record that it is our generation that repented and turned to the Lord our Merciful and Gracious God! Let our daily cry be, “I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.” (Psalms 18:3)!
