2025-02-28 “all sufficiency” [From A Previous Note]

II Corinthians 9:8  “And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:

In the midst of an exhortation on generous giving, Paul writes, “God is able to make all grace abound toward you”; that is, “God” has the power and the authority to overcome the trials and wants that rise from our dedicated service to Him.  The things that fit under the heading of “all grace” are those things that God generously gives to us that we do not deserve, that we have not earned.  The Lord makes these blessings of “grace abound”; that is, His blessings come with such abundance and with such frequency that we are amazed.  Paul goes on to write, that with this abounding “grace” we will have “all sufficiency in all things”; that is, we will have everything that we need to “abound to every good work” in His service.  Even in the midst of our frequent trials, we should pause often to take note of these abounding blessings and be encouraged by them to further our service that we “may abound to every good work”!
