Psalm 94:20 “Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with thee, which frameth mischief by a law?”
“the throne of iniquity” refers to the very seat of evil’s power and authority. He who sits on this wicked “throne” is the ultimate deceiver, he fakes “fellowship with” God and with the Children of God. He “frameth mischief by a law”; that is, he deceptively portrays himself as a friendly authority while he uses and makes law to enforce his evil desires upon mankind, even the Children of God. The wicked “gather themselves together against the soul of the righteous, and condemn the innocent blood” (Psalm 94:21); that is, they “call evil good, and good evil” and “put darkness for light, and light for darkness” and “put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter” (Isaiah 5:20). The devil and his “antichrists” (I John 2:18) do have considerable power and authority to deceive and do very wicked things against the Children of God. However, “the LORD is my defence; and my God is the rock of my refuge. 23 And he shall bring upon them their own iniquity, and shall cut them off in their own wickedness; yea, the LORD our God shall cut them off.” (Psalm 94:22-23)! Therefore, “O come, let us sing unto the LORD: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation.” (Psalm 95:1)!
