Psalm 54:7 “For he hath delivered me out of all trouble: and mine eye hath seen his desire upon mine enemies.”
Well, the winds are calm and we have a lot of flooding and some damage, but we are expecting to see the sun begin to shine today, for the first time in several days! We prayed, and the Lord heard and “hath delivered” us “out of all trouble”; in our case, from the ravages of Hurricane Sally! I am personally aware that folks all across our Country and some outside our Country were and are praying for us. Now, we should make time to give thanks for the Lord “hath delivered” us. It is our Lord “Who delivered us from so great a death, and doth deliver: in whom we trust that he will yet deliver us” (II Corinthians 1:10); that is, He “hath delivered” us in the past, He “doth deliver” us right now, and “we trust that he will yet deliver us” from what ever “trouble” may be lurking in our future; such as, the Coronavirus, rioting in our cities, political unrest, etc. So, let us worshipfully pray and give thanks to our Lord as we “Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.” (I Corinthians 16:13)!
