Psalms 57:1 “I will cry unto God most high; unto God that performeth all things for me. 3 He shall send from heaven, and save me from the reproach of him that would swallow me up. Selah. God shall send forth his mercy and his truth.”
Just what do we do when all the news seems to be bad news, when we feel ourselves to be helpless against all our troubles, and when we have an overwhelming feeling that all is lost! Well, first of all, those things that are Biblically true and right, we do NOT concede to those who hate them, nor do we give up on having them. Just like Hezekiah, who spread the enemy’s letter before the Lord (II Kings 19:14), we must prayerfully resolve that we “will cry unto God most high” and we must resolve that we will “withstand” the enemies venomous onslaught and “stand” against all the enemy’s disastrous devices (Ephesians 6:13). In a manner and at a time pleasing to the Lord, victory is assured because we are crying “unto God that performeth all things for” us. We also should visit Hebrews 11, and then confidently “cry” out from our God-given “faith”, our “God” “shall send from heaven, and save me from the reproach of him that would swallow me up. Selah. God shall send forth his mercy and his truth.”!
