Philippians 1:1 “Paul and Timotheus, the servants of Jesus Christ, to all the saints in Christ Jesus which are at Philippi, with the bishops and deacons: 2 Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.”
The Apostle “Paul” honorably and humbly identified himself and “Timotheus” as “the servants of Jesus Christ”; that is, they were bound under a most Holy Bondage to completely and fully serve Jehovah Who Is Our Salvation, The Anointed Of God The Father To Save His People From Their Sins. These “servants” lovingly addressed this Epistle “to all the saints in Christ Jesus which are at Philippi”; that is, “to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints” (I Corinthians 1:2), “to them that are sanctified by God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ, and called” (Jude 1:1). The “saints” are those that “God the Father” “hath chosen in” Christ Jesus “before the foundation of the world” (Ephesians 1:4) and He hath distinguished and set them aside as His very own (“sanctified” them), making them His “saints”! The “bishops” (another word for Pastors) and “deacons” are included as addressees. Not only are “all the saints” “sanctified”, but they are also “preserved”; that is, they are Eternally “preserved” in the Blessed and Holy Shed Blood of our Beloved Lord “Jesus Christ”; therefore, on the Glorious Resurrection Day, He will raise “all” His “saints” to be with Him in Eternal Glory; not a single one will be left behind! Furthermore, they are “all” “called” to Spiritual Life to know and love Him, and many are “called” into His Church-Kingdom here on Earth as those at Philippi were. It is in this Blessed Church-Kingdom that we find true “Grace” “and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ”!
