I John 4:14 “And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world.”
We know that there are many “worlds”; for, our Lord “made the worlds” (Hebrews 1:2) and “the worlds were framed by the word of God” (Hebrews 11:3). There is “the world” that contains both “the children of the kingdom” and “the children of the wicked one” (Matthew 13:38)! There is “the world” that “hateth” our Lord (John 7:7); “the world” that has its own “prince” (John 12:19); “the world” our Lord departed out of (John 13:1); “the world” that “cannot receive” “the Spirit of truth” (John 14:17); “the world” our Lord does not “manifest” Himself to (John 14:22); “the world” that hates Christ and His People (John 15:18); “the world” we were “chosen” out of (John 15:19); “the world” that plagues us with “tribulation”, but our Lord has “overcome” it (John 16:33); “the world” our Lord would not “pray” “for” (John 17:9); “the world” that hates us “because” we “are not of the world” (John 17:14); “the world” that does not know God (John 17:25); “the world” that is to be “condemned” (I Corinthians 11:32); “the world” “of iniquity” (James 3:6); “the world” that is at “enmity with God” and “is the enemy of God” (James 4:4); “the world” we are not to “love” (I John 2:15); and “the world” that “lieth in wickedness” (I John 5:19). Then, there is “the world” from which our Lord took away “the sin” (John 1:29); that “God so loved” and “gave his only begotten Son” to save (John 3:16); that goes after Christ (John 12:19); that our Lord reconciled “unto himself” (II Corinthians 5:19); of the “Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father” (I Peter 1:2); that God the Father “hath chosen” in Christ Jesus “before the foundation of the world” (Ephesians 1:4); of those of whom our Lord will “lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day” (John 6:39); that is “born again” (John 3:3); that hears the Lord’s “voice” and follows Him (John 10:27); that, on the last day, “shall be caught up together” to forever be with our beloved Lord (I Thessalonians 4:17) in the place He has prepared for us “from the foundation of the world” (Matthew 25:34); of those whose names are “written in the book of life from the foundation of the world” (Revelation 17:8). God the “Father sent” God “the Son to be the Saviour of the world” that He had “chosen in him before the foundation of the world” (Ephesians 1:4).
