Colossians 1:21 “And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled 22 In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:”
It is clear that “the Lord, the righteous judge” (II Timothy 4:8) required the absolutely perfect and sinless “body of” His Son’s “flesh through death” to pay our sin-debt. Our sin debt had to be paid in order “to present” us “holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight”; thus, making all His Children fit for Eternal Heaven with Him. Our Lord Jesus Christ was the only perfect Sacrifice; however, He was summarily rejected by the self-serving rulers; but, Peter told the rulers that “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12). Paul explained it this way, God the Father “hath made” His Son “to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him” (II Corinthians 5:21). Now to those who know this blessed Truth, “O come, let us sing unto the LORD: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation.” (Psalms 95:1). Isaiah exhorted us this way, “Sing unto the LORD a new song, and his praise from the end of the earth, ye that go down to the sea, and all that is therein; the isles, and the inhabitants thereof. 11 Let the wilderness and the cities thereof lift up their voice, the villages that Kedar doth inhabit: let the inhabitants of the rock sing, let them shout from the top of the mountains. 12 Let them give glory unto the LORD, and declare his praise in the islands.” (Isaiah 42:10-12). Let us spend our remaining time on this earth rejoicing and declaring this Blessed Truth!
