Colossians 1:(26-27)-29 “Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints: 27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:”
The “riches” in this context, means that we are filled with all that is necessary and are lacking nothing in our Lord’s presence with us. Paul also refers to it as, “The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, 19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, 20 Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,” (Ephesians 1:18-20). The message to us is that the Children of God, both Jews and Gentiles, can now rejoice that they have a glorious “inheritance in the saints” and that all the Children of God were saved to Eternal Heaven when Christ declared “It is finished” (John 19:30). In this present world, the Children of God among the Gentiles have full access to and benefit of the Church-Kingdom of Jesus; that is, “the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints”. Said plainly, we are blessed to have a little taste of Heaven on this earth. So rich is this magnificent glory that nothing else in this present world can rise to its level, nothing can outshine its brilliance, nothing can match its joy, nothing is more attractive than the Lord’s presence with us in His Church-Kingdom, and nothing is more satisfying than the assuring Gospel of Salvation by the Grace of our beloved Lord. It is no surprise that, over the ages, God’s Children have often endured great adversarial sufferings and persecutions, compromising nothing, so that they might be comforted and “rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory” (I Peter 1:8) in “the riches of the glory of this mystery”, in “the glory of his inheritance in the saints”.
