Colossians 1:(26-27)-29 “Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints: 27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:”
The “mystery” is revealed; “the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations” is “now” “made manifest to his saints”; “which is Christ in you, the hope of glory”. The “saints” of God are those who were “chosen in” Jesus Christ “before the foundation of the world” (Ephesians 1:4), who “have redemption through” Jesus’ “blood” and “the forgiveness of sin” (Ephesians 1:7), who “have now obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will” (Ephesians 1:11), and those whom He hath made Spiritually Alive (Ephesians 2:1) to know Him and love Him and follow Him. He has “now” “manifest” Himself “to his saints” by showing Himself to be “Christ in you, the hope of glory”. Our Lord Jesus “Christ” is within His “saints” individually (Romans 8:9-11) and collectively as He binds them together in His Church-Kingdom. He has now shown Himself to be the sole, vital Cause and Security of that which we “hope” for; that is, Eternal Life (“inheritance”) with Him!
