John 10:27 “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: 28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.”
To be in the “hand” of the “Good Shepherd” is to be in the very “hand” of the Sovereign Creator of the universe. Also, our “Good Shepherd” has the power and authority to raise Himself and others to life again, He opens and closes great seas, He commands and great storms are calmed, He calls and legions of angels come, and He speaks and great multitudes listen with awe. His “sheep” have been in His Almighty “hand” sense “before the foundation of the world” (Ephesians 1:4), and He will not and cannot lose a single one of them (John 6:39). Sadly, “there are many antichrists” (I John 2:18) in this world who are perpetually trying to steal away and ruin the lives of His “sheep”. These heartless “antichrists” often trouble His “sheep” with confusions, temptations, and tribulations; but, each of His precious “sheep” are eternally secure in the infinitely powerful “hand” of our “Good Shepherd”. He has given His “sheep” “eternal life”, to be forever with Him; and, one blessed and holy day, each of His beloved “sheep” will hear His Loving, Mighty Voice Command, “Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world” (Matthew 25:34)!
