John 10:29 “My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand.”
We are given very brief glimpses of the inner workings of the Triune God. In this context, God the Son (our “good Shepherd”) is declaring thar our Eternal Relationship with God is perfectly secure in the Heavenly “Father’s hand”. It was God the Father Who chose His people in God the Son “before the foundation of the world” (Ephesians 1:3-4). And, God the Father “gave his only begotten Son” to Eternally Save the “world” of His people (John 3:16) that He had chosen “before the foundation of the world” to be His very own. Then, God the Son declared that not a single one of them would be Eternally Lost, and that every one of them will be raised “up again at the last day” (John 6:39). Furthermore, God the Father set the destiny of His chosen people (“predestinated” them) to be “conformed to the” Perfect “image of his son” (Romans 8:29); which, rendered them fit for Eternal Heaven. Paul makes it clear that “all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 8:23). But, He also makes it clear that the Children of God are “now justified by his” Son’s “blood” (Roman 5:8. And, because they are “now justified”, on the last day of this present world, they will not be charged with sin (Romans 8:33) and will not be condemned because of sin (Romans 8:34). Furthermore, absolutely nothing “shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 8:39). Let us greatly rejoice and worshipfully serve our Lord, knowing that we are Eternally Secure in our “Father’s hand”!
