Titus 1:2 “In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;”
In the minds and hearts of Born-Again Children of God, the “hope of eternal life” is somewhat like a great mountain that rises far above the clouds. Great storms can be seen and heard below, but cannot possibly reach the peak of Good “hope”! The “hope of eternal life” lifts our minds above our present troubles and replaces our grimaces of despair with smiles of joy. Even death itself cannot take these smiles away. In the midst of his great troubles, Job jubilantly declared, “I know that my redeemer liveth … Whom I shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall behold” (Job 19:25-27)! No matter how pleasant or how difficult our life may be; we greatly rejoice as we sweetly rest “In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;”!
