2019-12-23 “he shall save”

Matthew 1:21  “And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.

It is true that our Lord both Created and owns all things (Ephesians 3:9); but, He lovingly Eternally Saved to Heaven a portion of His Creation “out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation”; for, Our Lord Jesus Christ “wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation” (Revelation 5:9)!  Furthermore, He is the Exclusive Savior; for, “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12); that is, no human-being had, has, or will have any decision or participation in the act of Eternally saving “his people”!  For, Jesus Christ Alone chose “his people” (Ephesians 2:4), Eternally loves “his people” (Romans 8:35-39), and He alone has Eternally saved “his people” (II Timothy 1:9).  Our Lord Jesus Christ “by himself purged our sins” and then He “sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high” (Hebrews 1:3)!  Our Lord physically suffered the gruesome Crucifixion (Isaiah 53:3-12); but, He also suffered unspeakable anguish when He bore our sin away from us; for, God the Father “hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him” (II Corinthians 5:21)!  Isaiah prophesied that God the Father “shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied” (Isaiah 53:11); thus, we must conclude that when our Lord declared on the Cross “It is finished” (John 19:30), God the Father was fully and finally “satisfied” with our Lord’s Sacrifice.  Therefore, knowing that our Lord Jesus Christ “hath saved” (II Timothy 1:9) “his people from their sins”; “Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms.” (Psalms 95:2)!
