Luke 11:28 “But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.”
Our “God” has clearly given us the answer to the violence, immorality, and corruption that seems to be sweeping through our Country. While the devil is surely chained, limited in his evil power, (Revelation 20:1-3), he yet has considerable power to deceive, to lead into error, and to cause great tribulation for God’s people. Such tribulation is not a new thing, such evil has cyclically reared its ugly head since the Creation. While we must not ourselves be evil to others who do not worship the Lord and to those who worship other gods, we must remember that “there is one God” (I Timothy 2:5) and He “will not give” His “glory unto another” (Isaiah 48:11)! The Children of God are “blessed” when they “hear the word of God, and keep it”! The “LORD” told the Children of Israel “If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee” (Exodus 15:26). Again, many years later, the “LORD” told Israel, “If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land: 20 But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.” (Isaiah 1:19-20). Our Country is not a theocracy, yet the handprint of God is all over the Constitution of our Country and it is obvious that He has mercifully preserved our Country for over 243 years. He has forgiven our sins, bad judgments, etc., all for the sake of His Church and people. He has blessed us with peace, security, benefits, and prosperity greater than that of any nation in the known history of the world. But, as a nation, what are we doing with His blessings?! We are systematically removing Christ and His Word from families, government, business, education, etc. And, what has it gotten us? As Christ and His Word is removed, the devil rushes in to fill the void with wickedness, immorality, deceit, and corruption. Now is the time for true worshipers to truly worship the Lord; for, “the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him” (John 4:23). Let us hear and heed the Lord’s words to Solomon, “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” (II Chronicles 7:14)!
