James 5:11 “Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.”
Over and over again, we “have seen the end of the Lord”; that is, we “have seen” “that the Lord” lifts up His Beloved Children who stumble and fall, sooths the fearful minds, comforts the broken hearts, and blesses after seasons of dreadful trauma! But, best of all, our “Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy”; He forgives our sins, both as we live and eternally so that we appear before God our Father as righteous, just, holy, and fit for Eternal Life with Him. He knows our sins and our weaknesses, yet He forgives and blesses. Like Job, after periods of great trial and chastening, in His Divine “pity” and His most precious “tender mercy”, He gently reaches down and lifts us up again and blesses us with unimaginable love, peace, and prosperity. In the Biblical Record, in the history of the Church, and in our own experience we “have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy”; therefore, “Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms.” (Psalms 95:2)!
